Conveniently there was one right next the entrance. I had a feeling I was right, but I suddenly felt the urge to pee so I called out to my family who was still approaching the entrance to wait while I ran to the bathroom. He informed me that the ride closes when the park closes. When I arrived to the Splash Mountain area, there wasn't a soul in sight other than the guy manning the entrance. I walked ahead of my family to try and save time. Since we were already in the Frontier Land, which is the section of the park that Splash Mountain was in, I convinced my family to check anyway. I reminded my family but my parents reminded me that the ride closes at eleven. Somehow we were so busy that it wasn't until around eleven thirty at night that I remembered that we hadn't even gone on Splash Mountain. Me and my older brother teased him about it throughout the day. He was wearing mouse ears and a bright green Micky Mouse shirt. My little brother who was thirteen was really getting into the spirit. We got on a few attractions with no lines. After the nightly fireworks, the park started to really quiet down, basically to the point that the park was dead. Since we left all the other parks relatively early, we decided to stay at the Magic Kingdom until midnight. Splash Mountain is one of the more popular rides at Disney World and I remember it being my favorite ten years ago. I had a great time, until I went on Splash Mountain. We started with the Hollywood Studios, then Epcot, then the Animal Kingdom, and then finally the Magic Kingdom. We went during February so it was relatively quiet in all the parks. Me and my family just returned from our second trip as a family ten years later. The first time I went, I was ten years old. I have been to Disney World in Orlando twice now. Quick Tip: Time your ride for during the fireworks for even more thrills.I think it's safe to say most Americans have either been to Disneyland or Disney World. At the end of the ride you will have the option to purchase a photograph of your log plume’s drop. There are ponchos sold in gift shops to help avoid getting soaked. Want to stay dry? The ride drops you into Br’er Rabbit’s “Laughing Place”, his own peaceful, tranquil home. The finale begins as your log plume descends a 52.5 foot drop at 40 miles an hour. This ride features “Ev’rybody’s Got a Laughing Place” and “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah”. There are animatronic scenes, small dips and a familiar soundtrack. He is followed by his enemies Br’er Bear and Br’er Fox. Br’er Rabbit leaves home to find his “Laughing Place”. After boarding the 8 person log you will be treated to twists and turns which follow the story of Br’er Rabbit. Splash Mountain is a water log plume ride based on Disney’s 1946 Song of the South. Just listen for the screams and whoosh of water. This Magic Kingdom ride is located in Frontierland, next to the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
